Jean-Edouard COLLIARD

Jean-Edouard Colliard is Associate Professor of Finance at HEC Paris, which he joined in 2014. He obtained a PhD in Economics in 2012 from the Paris School of Economics. Before joining HEC, Jean-Edouard worked for two years as an economist in the Research department of the European Central Bank. He is a co-holder of the research chair "Analytics for Future Banking" (HEC Paris - Natixis - Polytechnique). His main research areas are the regulation of financial institutions and the microstructure of financial markets, including topics such as financial transactions taxes, over-the counter markets, bank capital requirements, or the European Banking Union. Jean-Edouard's research has been published in leading finance and managmeent journals such as the Journal of Finance, the Review of Financial Studies, the Review of Finance, and Management Science. He is an Associate Editor of the journal Management Science. Jean-Edouard is a member of the Finance Theory Group and a Research Affiliate of CEPR and SUERF. He received the "Young Researcher in Economics" Award of Foundation Banque de France in 2017, the Eurofidai-BEDOFIH Data Award 2017, the "Young Researcher Award" 2015 of AMF (the French Securities Markets Authority), and the 1st SUERF/Unicredit & Universities Foundation Research Prize 2013.

 

Gaetano GABALLO

Since July 2019 I am associate professor at HEC Paris and a CEPR reserch affiliate. I am on leave from Banque de France where I was senior economist in the monetary policy division. I had been affiliate professor at Paris School of Economics and an Economist in the Monetary Policy Research division at the European Central Bank. I held post-doc positions at the European Univesity Institute and Columbia University. My research interest are in Macroeconomics and Monetary Economics, with a particular focus on the economic impact of frictions in the transmission of information. I am author of publications in the Review of Economic Studies, the Journal of Monetary Economics and the American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics among others.

 

Eric MENGUS

Eric Mengus is Associate Professor of Economics at HEC and a CEPR research affiliate. Before joining HEC in 2014, he was research economist at Banque de France. He obtained a PhD in economics at Toulouse School of Economics and he is a graduate from Ecole polytechnique and Ecole des Ponts ParisTech. His main research areas are Macroeconomics, Monetary Economics and Urban Economics. His works were published in the American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics, the Journal of European Economic Association, the Journal of Economic Theory or the Journal of International Economics.

 

Luigi PACIELLO

Luigi Paciello holds a PhD in Economics from Northwestern University and an MSc in Finance and Economics from the London School of Economics. He is a macroeconomist with expertise in business cycles and monetary policy. Luigi joined HEC from the Einaudi Institute for Economics and Finance. He has been a visiting scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and Minneapolis, as well as at Princeton and Stanford. His work has been published in the Quarterly Journal of Economics, Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Monetary Economics, Journal of the European Economic Association and International Economic Review. He is an Associate Editor of the Review of Economic Dynamics and of the Journal of the European Economic Association, and a fellow of the CEPR.
